I read an interesting article in the Intelligencer today about some of the write in votes from Montgomery County and Bucks County.

I believe 1000 write in votes were cast for President in Montgomery County and 401 in Bucks County.

Here are  some of the names suggested :   Phillies Manager,  Charlie  Manuel,  Phillies Players : Cole Hamels , Jamie Moyer , Joe Blanton , Shane Victorino, Chase Utley,

 Paris Hilton, Steven Colbert, actor Harrison Ford, were also named.

There were ex Presidents, cartoon characters and other politicians on the list. But if you make your mark in any of our favorite sport , you will be assured of some votes in Philadelphia and suburbs.

 For those of you who do not follow sports , Phillies are the 2008 World  Series Champions.

VALLEY SQUARE IN WARRINGTON, BUCKS COUNTY.

Valley Square is located at Street road and Route 611 in Warrington.

It celebrated its 1st anniversary on November 21st.

Check your Property tax bill in 2009 and do not be surprised to see an increase in taxes.

Townships are receiving less  revenue from transfer taxes as fewer homes are selling . The prices may have come down and this also means less income from transfer tax as it is based on sale price.

In some areas homeowners had appealed their taxes as prices had come down and they were successful in reducing the taxes. Now when it is time to prepare the budget for next year Townships have to look for ways to increase revenue and are therefore increasing taxes.

Looks like price of everything is going up .

I just received a circular in the mail today and am excited that a Trader Joe opened in North Wales on November 14th.

It is located at 1460 Bethlehem Pike,

The store hours are 9 am to 9 pm daily.

They have advertised mouth watering items that we will need for Thanks Giving - Fresh young all Natural turkey, fresh baked pumpkin pies, and fresh cranberry sauce to name a few .

The prices are reasonable and they have everything I will need for Thanks Giving. If you live in Central Bucks or Montgomery county, it is worth the trip. I had been to one in another State when I was on vacation and though I recently found out there is a Trader Joe in our area it is much further away and I would not drive such  a  long distance for groceries. The one in North Wales is close enough.
