 Today is Memoria Day. President Bush has  a few suggestions for how to honor the sacrifices of those who have fought for the Unites States -  place a flag at a veterans grave, go to a battle field or say a prayer . He said that Monday at 3 pm, EST will be a moment of remembrance , " At that moment Major League baseball will pause, the National Memorial day Parade will halt , Amtrak trains will blow their whistles and buglers in military cemeteries will play taps "

Many first time buyers who do not qualify for a mortgage are forced to extend their lease by another year.

I have met many prospective buyers in the last few months and they later called me to say they have decided to extend their lease . When they sit down with a loan officer they find out what they need to do before they can get a mortgage. As a courtesy I show them homes the first time and before the next appointment I suggest they talk to a loan officer. I name some area banks and they can decide who they will go to . If they wish to talk to our in-house mortgage broker they can do it.  

In the last month I had 4 buyers who have to wait a year .

I listed a property for sale last month. The seller did not want to reduce the price so they have now  decided to rent it out. I had 4 showings over the weekend and one application.
